Trey Arrested!

I leave for the weekend and my ex-favorite band's frontman gets arrested. Trey was arrested on Friday while driving through Whitehall, NY and was arrested on DUI and drug charges. I still couldn't imagine getting a DUI while on drugs....I'd almost think its too hard to accomplish, but what do I know? Here is some more information from the Boston Globe:

A search turned up quantities of the painkillers hydrocodone and Percocet, as well as the anti-anxiety drug Xanax, that had been prescribed for someone else, police said.

I Shot The Sheriff

I was recently listening to an Eric Clapton performance from a couple of years ago. I popped the CD because well our beloved Green Bay Packers were getting destroyed by the Jets and for a moment I didn't want to see Brett Favre look like crap (I'm a diehard Cowboys fan). I came across his performance of 'I Shot The Sheriff' and wanted to compare that to some others. Of course, at the end it came out to Eric Clapton vs. Bob Marley with me still undecided if I liked Marley's original or Clapton's cover.

A little more information from Wikipedia:
"I Shot The Sheriff" is a song written by Bob Marley. It is a song about justice, innocence and defiance, first released on Marley's 1973 album, Burnin'.

moe. - The Conch Preview

I know you may be asking me why I'm previewing this album or giving it any kind of recognition before it's January 23rd release date because lets be honest thats a long time from now. However, I've always enjoyed moe. a lot except when they cover Radiohead's Karma Police. The first time I was able to see moe. was at Summerfest I believe in 2001 when they announced that they were taking the spot of The Guess Who (thank you music gods). moe.'s last studio album seemed like years ago with Wormwood that yes I did purchase but I'd rather collect all those Warts & All collection. Hopefully, after the four year hiatus of studio albums we can see what a jam band is not known for....creating a great studio album and I think moe. can definately produce with their new album The Conch.
