Hosting Problems/EZArchive 3.0

Well it seems that EZArchive 3.0 is just terrible and is ditching the blogging community as a place to host mp3s etc. I am currently looking for other options, but ezarchive was pretty cheap and I really don't want to start posting ads on this blog, but I might have to if I find a reasonable host.

Umphrey's McGee Wisconsin Run

After you've recovered from all the Halloween shows during this upcoming week get ready for another great weekend of music in Madison and Milwaukee. Umphrey's McGee swings into Wisconsin on Thursday with a two day run at the Barrymore concluding on Saturday night at The Rave in Milwaukee. I've seen Umphrey's at The Rave so I'm trying out the Barrymore this time. I thought I'd get your mind thinking about these shows and give you a show from The Electric Factory in Philadelphia this past October.

Site Update

With the current "problems" with ezarchive I've decided to slow down on the amount of posts this week. Apparently, ezarchive will be switching over before Halloween so that is the good news. Expect a post on a band called Back Forty tomorrow, they're a very talented group with their mix of bluegrass and funk.

Oh and one more thing...check out the archives if you haven't already done so because all the current links will be dead once ezarchive switches over...

Halloween Tribute to Phish

As most of us know during Phish's Halloween show in 1994 they covered the entire Beatle's White Album and now for the second year The People will be paying homage to Phish by playing an entire album of theirs. Last year, The People covered the entire Billy Breathes album. The show will at The Magic Bag in Ferndale, Michigan starting at 8PM. There are some songs on The People's Myspace of their performance from last year.

Need some information on Phish's Halloween shows? Phish.net has a nice rundown of all the Halloween costume shows.

E II:
Deathcake

Pretty much my favorite Tea Leaf Green show I have ever attended. I remember during Hot Dog standing in the back of the venue pretty much jaw dropped to the floor in awe thinking is this really happening? It sure was and it only got better. The Planet of Green Love went over well with the crowd as someone exchanged hats with Ben C. that featured a special kind of leaf. At one point during Taught to be Proud I remember thinking that it was almost bar time and getting worried that this show may end, but it didn't as pretty much Deathcake was just out of control and I walked out thinking that this show may have been better that my Radiohead experience at Alpine Valley in 02.

Anybody else attend the show? Comment away!

Virginia Coalition

Virginia Coalition has just released their first live album Live at The 9:30 Club via Bluehammock music. With a mixture of soul and rock VACO brings incredible live performances and by listening to a few songs off the live release I can understand why they've won two "Best Local Band" awards from the Washington Post in 2003 and 2004. They're just finishing up a tour where they've opened for bands such as DMB, Blues Traveler, and O.A.R.

One Reason

Tea Leaf Green makes their way back to The High Noon Saloon in Madison tonight and I am pretty excited to get my weekend off on the right note. I've been listening to their performance from Starr Hill back on August 26 to "prepare" myself. I also have two friends that haven't seen TLG before so I'm excited to well show them a true rock and roll band. Doors open at 8:30, show starts at 9:30 with 56 Hope Road opening...hope to see you there.

To check out the Starr Hill show from Charlottesville,VA that I've been listening to visit the Live Archive.

Also, check out some 56 Hope Road...
