If all goes right tomorrow, I'll be in the Eagles Ballroom enjoying The Wailers and Messenger at the Eagles Club (The Rave) in Milwaukee. I haven't seen the Wailers in years, but as I remember from the last time it was a great time and satisfied my reggae craving.

In non-music related news, my hero Keith Jackson has retired from broadcasting. When I started college with my dream of becoming a play-by-play announcer he was the person I looked up too (even though he still can't pronounce WISCONSIN correctly). Anyways, he was great on Saturdays and I'm gonna miss hearing him.

Well I've waited long enough, it is time for me to see Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. I missed the opportunity last time they came to Milwaukee, and thanks to the parents I have a nice $25 tour shirt. CSNY have just announced a summer tour, and well that could pretty much make anyones day. Check out below for a show live from Toronto back in 1974.

Loyal Family has setup another "battle of the bands" to gain entry into this year's 10,000 Lakes Festival. Earlier this year, they put on Battlerusa to gain entry into Wakarusa with great success. The Cosmic Break Tour will be making its way through Illinois and Wisconsin next week. But here is the lowdown from the first stretch of the tour...

As I migrated North for Easter break I was met with a big suprise that pretty much satisfied me for most of the weekend. I was able to check out two shows at some local drinking establishments in Cedarburg. The first night I caught the tail end of Marc Ballini and then was quickly blown away by The Brimleys. They played another great show the following night at The Roadhouse. The Brimleys made up of Ric Bourbonais (guitar/vocals), Brandon Colella (bass), Rob Shively (keys/guitar/vocals) and Mickey Kennedy (drums) play a classic rock and roll style with the ability to create new levels of energy on every note. Below are a few samples, I recommend "Tidal Wave".

Sublime by far is one of my personal favorites, I remember the first day I heard 40oz to Freedom when I was in 7th grade, from that point on I was a Sublime fan. This show from The Palace is Hollywood is a show that any Sublime fan should own....

I'll be attending my first Brewers game of the season today, and I am a bit excited....we're off to a 3-0 start just like last year, and other than Prince Fielder striking out a lot we're doing fine....I get to sit in the Miller Lite Beer Pen that consists of a $15 ticket with a shirt, and lots of beer on a Friday night....No mp3s today, but check out the posts below especially the Blackalicious from SXSW.

If I have my luck with work tomorrow I'll be able to catch Keller Williams at the Orpheum Theatre in Madison. I've seen Keller Williams many times, but there is always something that makes me wanna go back to his show. He also plays in Milwaukee on April 12 at The Rave. If you have the chance, the Orpheum is a far better venue. Here are a few songs from his Langerado performance.
